2025 TCPA Class Action Filings Up 75%

TCPA Class Actions Continue to Skyrocket!!: TCPA Class Action Filings Double in April, 2025

Well, as TCPAWorld.com readers know well, the TCPA class actions continue to pour in.

Previously we reported TCPA class action filings were up over 100% YoY through March, 2025.

Well the April, 2025 numbers are in and the INSANE pace of filings continue.

This April 235 TCPA suits were filed compared to “just” 135 in April, 2024. That’s an increase of 74.1%!

But the news gets worse.

Fully 78% of these cases were filed as class actions– potential business killers– meaning there were 184 TCPA class actions filed in April, 2025 compared to “just” 92 class actions in April, 2024.

Yep, class actions filings were up 100% (doubled!) in April compared to last year.

Eesh.

This continues the frantic pace of filings from past months.

Through April there have now been 691 TCPA class actions filed in 2025 (184 (April) 187 (March) 148 (February) and 172 (January).) That is compared to 331 TCPA class actions filed in the same period in 2024. ((92 (April) 84 (March) 91 (February) 64 (January).)

That means year to date TCPA class action filings are up 108% from last year– MORE THAN DOUBLE!

Eesh.

If you’re not taking TCPA compliance seriously right now I don’t know what to tell you. Every single one of these cases has the potential to completely ruin a business– the attorneys fees to defend the suits alone are enough to drive some companies out of business.
