New R.E.A.C.H. V-3.0 Standards Strengthen Consumer Trust

The board of Responsible Enterprises Against Consumer Harassment (R.E.A.C.H.), of which Convoso CEO and Co-Founder Nima Hakimi is a member, released Version 3.0 of its standards on July 2, 2025.
Version 2.0 brought clear definitions for lead sellers, buyers, and service providers, along with strict consent criteria and caller best-practice limits. Those rules raised the industry’s compliance ceiling well above existing law. Version 3.0 keeps that momentum, sharpening requirements that protect consumers while giving ethical marketers the tools they need to compete.
Key changes in v-3.0
1. Stronger written consent
A separate electronic signature must acknowledge automated, prerecorded, artificial-voice, or AI-voice outreach, plus a plain-language warranty that data will not be reused outside the expressed topic.
2. Website design safeguards
Mandatory 10-point minimum font, high-contrast disclosure above the acceptance button, and bold emphasis on automated-calling language to remove any dark-pattern ambiguity.
3. Real-time fraud controls
Every lead must be captured by third-party witness software and pass a sophisticated invalid-traffic filter accredited by MRC or TAG before sale.
4. Outbound-call guardrails
Caps of three calls and up to five total contact attempts per day on a single lead, plus compulsory use of the FCC Reassigned Numbers Database for numbers older than sixty days.
5. Modern AI policy
Dynamic generative-voice technology remains permissible, but static prerecorded messages or ringless voicemails may not be the first touchpoint on purchased leads.
Why v-3.0 matters
Regulatory Clarity: The Supreme Court recently set aside much of the FCC’s prior guidance, leaving lead generators without a reliable roadmap.
Stronger consumer trust: The new rules make transparency and informed consent the default, reducing unwanted calls and texts.
Litigation risk reduction: Clear consent requirements and record-keeping standards give companies better evidence to defend against TCPA claims.
Room for innovation: V-3.0 explicitly permits AI voice and generative messaging, provided written consent exists, so compliant teams can keep using cutting-edge outreach.
