FTC Announces New DNC Registry Fees for Telemarketers in FY 2026

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced updated fees for telemarketers to access phone numbers on the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry for Fiscal Year 2026, beginning October 1, 2025.
What telemarketers need to know
All telemarketers contacting U.S. consumers are required to scrub their calling lists against the DNC Registry to avoid dialing numbers that have opted out of telemarketing calls. The first five area codes are free, and exempt organizations, such as certain charities and political callers, may obtain the full list at no cost.
Updated fee structure
$82 per area code (up $2 from FY 2025)
$22,626 maximum annual charge for nationwide access (up from $22,038)
$41 per additional area code for a half year subscription (up $1 from FY 2025)
The new fees were approved unanimously by the Commission in a 3-0 vote.
Why scrubbing against the DNC list is essential
The DNC Registry is designed to protect consumers, and compliance is non-negotiable for businesses. Failing to scrub call lists can lead to heavy fines and reputational damage.
