Convoso’s Nima Hakimi Doubles Down on Compliance and Innovation With Strategic Leadership Push

    By Spencer Hulse

After nearly two decades in business, Convoso isn’t just growing — it’s accelerating. Under CEO and co-founder Nima Hakimi’s leadership, the Los Angeles-based contact center software provider is tightening its grip on a highly regulated, increasingly complex industry. With 40% annual revenue growth over the past five years, the company is betting that smarter leadership and sharper technology will sustain that trajectory.

This week, Convoso announced a new wave of leadership hires aimed at bolstering everything from compliance to customer growth. Among them: Natalie Peled David as SVP of Revenue, Eric Davidson as VP of People Operations, and Paul St. Clair as Head of Compliance, each one signaling a strategic move to scale sustainably while tackling the nuanced regulatory and operational pressures facing outbound call centers.

“Our company is almost 20 years old, and the success of our customers has always fueled our growth,” Nima Hakimi said. That growth hasn’t been minor. Convoso has quadrupled its workforce over the past five years while maintaining a Net Promoter Score of 64.1, far above SaaS benchmarks. For context, a score above 36 is considered strong.

What’s powering the expansion? In part, it’s the company’s early and ongoing commitment to regulatory compliance and performance tech, areas that have become non-negotiable in the contact center world. Convoso’s dialer platform touts sub-three-second connection speeds, 97% accuracy in answering machine detection, and the capacity to support over 5,000 simultaneous calls across 15 million leads.

The compliance piece is especially key. With spam labeling, TCPA enforcement, and consumer protection regulations tightening, Convoso has positioned itself as a safe haven — not just through product features, but through strategic leadership. St. Clair’s appointment as Head of Compliance, paired with Convoso’s integration of tools like DNC.com and ActiveProspect, cements its posture as a forward-looking platform that doesn’t wait for rules to change before adapting.

It helps that Convoso’s roots are deep in high-compliance verticals, such as insurance. But the company has since expanded into home services, solar, debt settlement, credit repair, and BPOs — spaces equally in need of high-throughput, high-integrity dialing systems. And in 2023, Convoso made a notable entrance into the conversational AI market, a move that nods to both the future of contact center outreach and the pressure to offer smarter, automated customer engagement.

That’s where the company’s recent product hires come in, seasoned leaders from Fortune 500 tech and CCaaS companies who are being tasked with accelerating innovation cycles and getting AI-powered features to market faster.

Bobby Hakimi, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, is spearheading that charge. “New products and platform enhancements are part of our continued mission to empower contact centers to grow faster, more efficiently, and with confidence,” he said.

On the roadmap for 2025: doubling the engineering team, expanding proactive compliance tools, and adding deeper multi-channel optimization features, all of it built on the premise that growth without guardrails is no longer viable in this sector.

Meanwhile, Nima Hakimi’s influence extends beyond Convoso. As a board member of Responsible Enterprises Against Consumer Harassment (R.E.A.C.H.), he’s also contributing to broader industry standards, pushing for a future where high-volume outreach doesn’t mean cutting corners on ethics or experience.

If there’s a throughline in Convoso’s current momentum, it’s this: scale with intention. In an industry often criticized for cutting compliance to chase conversions, Hakimi is stacking his leadership bench to prove that the two can — and must — go hand in hand.
